about

Recently, I've been thinking a lot about time and space, or rather the idea of time and space.
As listeners and performers at a live performance, the audience and the performer share a space, at a certain time, to indulge into an audible and visual (if not having the eyes closed all the time) journey.
For a recent evening of musical sets in a forest in Zürich, Switzerland, I was thinking about my performance and which instrument to play. At some point I decided I would rather like to record something (at a great concert venue, which also serves at a rehearsal space) on my own, and then bring the recording to the forest. Thus, the idea of bringing a moment in time at a particular space to another moment in time, in another space (which is usually not regarded as a "venue")...
As I liked the ambience of the forest as a concert space a lot, I went to record my recording (played on a Bluetooth Speaker) in another nearby forest, where I usually like to go for a walk.
4:4est is a mixture of three different recordings I did at three different times, in three different spaces.

"Time is what consciousness looks like when it is refracted through thought. Space is what consciousness looks like when it is refracted through sense perception. In other words - time and space are not fundamental to reality. Reality is dimension-less consciousness. It only appears as time and space when refracted through the limited, the prismic activity of thinking and perceiving."
